Gun injected pointing is a specialist re-pointing mortar that is used to repair and restore brick, block and stone walls. It contains specialist additives that maintain workability during the repointing process and allows for a traditional lime pointing finish to be retained. Gun injected pointing mortar is strong enough to withstand any weather, and the addition of special additives ensures water vapour permeability, preventing damage caused by damp penetration.
Gun injected pointing mortar is manufactured in three standard strengths, and customised mixes are available on request. It has been successfully used on historic structures in the UK for several years and is being specified more frequently by conservation architects, contractors, state agencies and individual property owners worldwide.
